Exterior Repainting & Rust Treatment in Granville

Sky Painting & Decorating repainted the exterior of this character-filled two-storey property in Granville, Sydney, using Berger Solarscreen. The yellow exterior was changed to grey, with darker contrasting doors and window frames complementing the building's verandahs, balcony and decorative metalwork.

The before-and-after comparison shows the same front corner from a similar angle, making the change in wall colour and overall appearance easy to see. The gallery also records the front verandah, side and rear elevations, rear extension and covered outdoor area.

Preparation was an important part of this job. The earlier photographs show peeling paint on the verandah ceiling and visible rust on the balcony handrail. Rust-affected metalwork was sanded and treated with Rust Guard as part of the preparation. Close-up images show the condition before treatment and the treatment stage, alongside photographs of the exterior painting in progress.

The grey finish refreshes the painted masonry while retaining the character of the balcony ironwork and traditional facade. Wide views show the overall result; closer images document the details and preparation behind it.
