This page explains what Sky Painting & Decorating does with the personal information you give us through this website or by phone and email. We are a painting business based in Sydney, NSW, and we handle your details in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
What we collect
When you send a quote request we collect the details you type in: your name, phone number, email address (optional), the type of job and your message. If you call or email us we keep the details you give us so we can reply. Photos you send us for a quote are used only to prepare that quote.
How we use it
We use your details to reply to your enquiry, arrange a site visit, prepare a quote and carry out work you have agreed to. We do not sell your information and we do not send marketing to people who have not asked for it.
Where it is stored
Quote requests are emailed to us and held in our private enquiry system, which only Sky Painting & Decorating and the people who maintain this website can access. We share your details with another party only when the law requires it or you ask us to, for example a supplier or tradesperson you want us to coordinate with.
Cookies and analytics
We use an analytics tool, Umami, that we run ourselves, to see which pages people visit and whether quote requests and phone calls follow. It does not use cookies to follow you across other websites. We also use it to record anonymous screen replays and heatmaps of how visitors move around and tap on pages, so we can find parts of the site that are confusing. Anything you type into a form field is hidden from these recordings. This website does not use advertising cookies or other third party tracking.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and job records for as long as we need them to run the business and meet our tax and legal obligations, then delete or de-identify them.
Your choices
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it or have it deleted at any time. Contact us on 0418 989 792 or at v.skypainting@gmail.com. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information you can also contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
