Sky Painting & Decorating completed this home theatre painting project in Oatlands, Sydney, using Dulux Theatre Black. The photographs show the dark painted ceiling, recessed perimeter lighting and the finished room arranged around a projection screen and reclining seats.
A dedicated cinema room calls for a different colour approach from a bright everyday living space. Here, the dark ceiling works with the room’s wall panels, joinery and warm lighting to create a coordinated interior. The images include a view towards the screen, side views and a rear view of the furnished room, so you can assess the finish from more than one angle.
The gallery also includes the room before the seating was installed. This is a furnishing-stage photograph, rather than a before-painting image. Lighting and camera exposure affect how a dark colour appears in photographs, so these images are a reference when discussing your own room.
Planning a home theatre repaint in Oatlands or elsewhere in Sydney? Send Victor photographs, your suburb and the surfaces you want painted. A site visit helps assess the existing coating, repairs, access and protection needed around retained fittings and equipment. The paint system, sheen, preparation and number of coats should be agreed for your particular surfaces.
