New Build Childcare Painting at Belonging Early Learning, Hornsby

Sky Painting & Decorating completed the full interior and exterior painting for the new Belonging Early Learning childcare centre in Hornsby. Altan Project was the builder, and our painting work formed part of the new build.

The interior work covered walls, ceilings, doors and frames throughout the centre. The interior walls were prepared with sealer before being finished in Dulux Wash&Wear. Dulux Professional ceiling paint was used on the ceilings, and Dulux Aquanamel on the doors, frames and timberwork. The photographs follow the building from exposed ceiling framing and plasterboard preparation through wall and door painting to the completed learning rooms, hallways and amenities. White walls and ceilings sit alongside grey painted doors and trim in the finished spaces.

Outside, the scope included the building exterior, covered walkways, columns, rendered walls and timber boundary fencing. Sealer was applied to the exterior rendered walls before finishing with Dulux Weathershield. The gallery shows the completed street frontage as well as closer views of the painted exterior walls, eaves, stairway and walkway.

Walpamur Fence Finish was used on the timber fencing. The before-and-after comparison follows the same section beside the building from similar viewpoints, showing the change from unpainted timber palings to the dark coated finish. Further photographs show the fence during painting and within the completed outdoor setting.

The completed photographs show the painting alongside the centre’s fit-out, furniture and landscaping; these surrounding elements provide context for our painting work. Earlier construction photographs document the project while other trades were still on site.
